Lamanère is the southernmost village in mainland France. It sits high in the Pyrenees, at the end of a long, winding road, and is home to 27 people. There's only one sport hereabouts and the signpost, in the colours of the Catalan flag, points to the stadiums (stadia?) of most of the main rugby-playing nations. Oddly missing though, are those of England, Scotland and France itself. Stolen by souvenir hunters, perhaps?
