Bobbin' about at the quay at Tromsø

The shot was supposed to be of the Arctic Cathedral and bridge at Tromsø. It was taken as a composite of 8 long exposures, with the camera attached to the rail of the boat with a Gorillapod. Even with a large boat and calm water in the fjord, there was enough movement to do this to what was supposed to be a sharp photo with light trails.

This could make a wonderful abstract. The reflections are very pretty. I think you tried to do something which is undoable.

It certainly makes for an interesting shot, even if it's not what you had intended :)

Your honesty is admirable. But next time just tell us all it was an experimental shot and we'll call you a genius because it really is quite pretty. I've have my share of interesting mistakes, as well.
