We have our own presidential election here in France, and favourite to win the first round is our very own franco-Trump (yellow hair, anti-immigration, protectionist, slightly less misogynistic, but only because she is a woman). But Marine Le Pen of the Front National will then have to face again whoever comes second in the first round. And that is likely to be this guy, Emmanuel Macron. He's the former finance minister (boo!), a one time member of the Socialist Party (double boo!) and a former Goldman Sachs banker (triple mega boo!). He's formed his own party, called 'En Marche!', which means 'Forwards!', and today some of those he's inspired came to our market to blow up balloons.
will the winner run off against Fillon (felon) who paid his wife for?..With Macron you get his teacher wife, Would that not be a good thing? . I'm done with politics, I vote but don't believe the hype...
Are there two of him Tim? The lower poster shows a different bloke from the upper. Can I vote by proxy for the upper guy? If he gets eliminated will the lower guy go through?
All over the world we are left with very largely non supportable candidates but if we don't vote we are not exercising our democratic right - never has the expression "better the devil you know" seemed more appropriate!
