Changed the background, moved the speedlite to the right, changed the focus point so the foreground is sharp. Should have closed the aperture to increase the DoF as the background is now out of focus. And to compensate for the closed aperture, increase the output of the speedlite. Having fun learning about this stuff.
Your tech skills far exceed mine! I like black backgrounds as I think they let the subject take centre stage. Your first shot echoed the oranges but here the blacks are a little lost. What I would try is an all black background but with the subjects placed on a sheet of glass to give some reflection. Just an idea!
very tricky thing to get it all in focus and I'm afraid that it will take a very small aperture for true clarity or some focus stacking as Bob suggests. great color and composition. lighting is nice, no overly bright areas and nice shadows.
These look so yummy. I am so new to photography that I should better keep my mouth shut. Do you think some backlight between the background and the vegetables would help? Something not very strong.
There, I swear I kept my mouth shut while I wrote this idea, which might be plain stupid.
