While walking to meet a friend for coffee, I came across this injured fox (I think it's a fox???). I was sort of afraid to walk past him when I first saw him - I don't know if they attack - but it seems he was more afraid of me. then I noticed he wasn't really walking... just sort of scooting along using his front legs.
I felt so terrible for him because he looks in bad shape, and I feel awful for not helping him but I didn't know what to do :(
Before returning home from my coffee I made sure to get the proper phone number for the city wildlife people, but I couldn't find him. I hope he's okay.
Cool shot of this little beasty! Great capture! Maybe someone called and animal control picked him up! It's a good thing you didn't approach it. Injured wild animals are most likely to attack. How's baby bump and mom? It's good to see your sweet face! =)
@marlboromaam Hey :D good to see you! Me and the bump are doing well. anxiously waiting for another month to pass so i can meet him :) thanks for the comment - yeah i'm hoping someone called animal control. there is a nice wildlife rehabilitation centre nearby so i'm hoping he ends up there. hope you're doing well!

That's weird, one of your comments is a cut and paste job from another of your comments....! Strange. Here in the UK we beat these guys to death with a cricket bat, damn pest, you did the right thing, would have taken your hand off if you'd have helped. Natural selection and all that, does look cute though.
I've ended up being late for all sorts of things because I've had to call for help for an injured animal so I know how distressed you must have felt. My pal even sent a hedgehog off on the train so it could get care at a specialist centre! http://www.sttiggywinkles.org.uk/
It does look like it's having a hard time. The whole body language is one of being in a slump. I hope it was either helped or found peace one way or the other. As for beating foxes to death with cricket bats, no we don't do that here in England, at least not around here, that would be too cruel. Every animal has its place in the countryside.
@chewyteeth lol thanks Dave I did think the cut and paste comment was....um... a little bit strange :) but, hey it saves some time instead of typing!
I'm sure it being cared for, Lauren. Hopefully to the point that it can be released, rather than kept in a cage for the remainder of its days.
