Catching up from the weekend after being away & no internet.
We traveled to a place called Glen Davis, which is an old shale mining town, that is close to being a ghost town nowadays. The town is in the Capertee Valley, which is the worlds largest canyon! (apparently it is 1km wider than the Grand Canyon....although the Grand Canyon is deeper). It is a beautiful area, the scenery is just spectacular. We did lots of fun things like bush walking & bike riding...just to name a few. I took this shot of my bike after stopping to take some pics of some old chimney relics off to the opposite side of the road....then when walking back to hop on my bike, I thought the backdrop looked pretty spectacular, so I've chosen this shot for the day's photo on 25.3.16.
Will try to catch up with the rest of the weekends photos over the next little while, and also hope to catch up on commenting as well :) TFL
@chamoisp thank you :) It's not quite a ghost town yet, still some people that live there plus others who have a weekender there. The mine works itself is like a ghost town though & apparently there is a ghost there 😱
@gilbertwood@juleshoogstraanderson thank you so much for your comments & fav's. It would be rather difficult to not get such beautiful photos in a place like this :)
