From a different angle.
Taken from the base of about the only wall that wasn't covered in scaffolding when we were there (2013). There were heaps birds circling above, but I've only managed to capture 2 of them. As you can see, there's lots of moss/lichen on the walls. It is a magnificent place, and from a distance, is still just as spectacular.

@gilbertwood Oh really Denise? A friend went last year & said it was still there then! It must be some impressive restorations they are doing....or they are just awfully slow!
Isn't it crazy how busy life gets, & your trip is coming closer. I grab minutes here & there when I can. But definitely looking forward to travelling out to your region later this year or next:)
