Photographing the Photographer photographing the wedding party
I just love this shot! It was taken at an old Irish fort called Grianan Of Aileach in Co. Donegal. While we were there a wedding party arrived to have some photographs done. It was blowing a gale, pouring rain & was blistery cold....yet those girls only had short sleeves on (and gotta love their red gumboots!!), and you can see their umbrellas in a tangled mess!! It was fun to watch them do their thing, and I'm glad that I got to capture the photographer photographing them :)
Grianan Of Aileach is a 1700BC stone fort, situated on a hill top 800 feet above sea level the stone fort was probably built on an earthen rath.
The view from Aileach is breathtaking (we didn't get to witness much of the view because of the horrendous weather). A windy and exposed place, Grianan has been a silent witness to the history of Ireland.
Best on black.
This is another of my favourite older shots as part of my "Wind-Back Wednesday" theme. TFL :)
