aka - grocery shopping - not my most favourite thing to do, in fact I loathe it! And this time of year I loathe it even more. I was out early to beat the crowds (& the heat!), and was home by about 10am....now it all just needs to be cooked for Christmas Day (I don't mind that part).
Interestingly, this year in France there are no public holidays around Christmas (or New Year) as it falls on a Sunday. So, everything's open as normal on Saturday, and open again on Monday. It certainly takes the pressure off of the Christmas food shop - I know I can food shop until Saturday evening, and there's no pressure to plan for the following days either, as it's business as usual. Strange in a country which has a 35-hour work week and a lot more public holidays in a year than many other European countries. Anyway, I digress; a lovely shot of a mundane chore! A merry Christmas to you when it comes round!
Me to... I've been away the last 2 weeks at work and ventured to the shops to stock up, but ended up running away in terror. I can't believe how busy the supermarket is this time of year. Ridiculous. ...
It looks very quiet, I plan on heading out early tomorrow to finish mine. I don't mind the shopping. It's putting it all away when I get it all home that I don't like :)
