Slowly catching up after being away for 5 days after Christmas.
Taken at the Kiandra cemetery - a grave of a small child that had no headstone. This cemetery would have to be Australia's most desolate & isolated cemetery. There was probably 10 or so graves scattered through the whole cemetery that were marked with a headstone. There was no official 'entry' to the cemetery - no gate, no fence line, nothing....just out in the middle of nowhere on the side of a hill, and very isolated. There was, however, a sign that said the cemetery dated back to the 1860's & that it is unknown how many people were buried here, but with the ravages of time & interference by vandals it has left only remnants of what the cemetery once was.
This is my hubby paying his respects to this poor dear child.
