62,000 Poppies by leggzy

62,000 Poppies

An amazing display on the grounds of the Australian War Memorial to commemorate the upcoming centenary of Armistice. 62,000 poppies to represent every Australian killed in WW1 - All hand knitted & crocheted by volunteers all over Australia - including my Mum & myself. It really is a goosebumply stunning display.

Fantastic display and capture. Today I learned something new. We have not been involved in any war since 1814, so poppies has not the significance here.
