An historic day for the US. I hope for healing, but it will be a long road. I have seen so much ugliness in people I have known for decades. Even a long time neighbor and I exchanged angry words yesterday over today's inauguration.

My Mum used to grow these and year after year they'd be brought back out and flower. Well done tying your picture in with today's events I like to look back on my 365 and see what was going on over the years.

Beautiful red! The healing may not come until the suffering is finished. I'm afraid the pain hasn't really begun yet. Chin up though! We'll get through it somehow.
Beautiful bloom. I have resisted posting much about politics since the election because I know we have to come together as a people, but today is just sheer joy.
