A couple more from my trip to the raptor centre yesterday. Meet Chomper! Chomper is a Great Horned Owl, and he is 34 years old.
His plaque says: “Chomper is a human imprinted bird who was taken from the wild by a family who attempted to raise and keep him as a pet. He was fed inappropriate food and grew ill as a fledgling, at which point he was surrendered to the centre.”
I adore his “horns”.
