Baptisia australis

Also called false indigo or wild indigo, as it was used as a replacement for indigo in dyes. It is a rockstar in our June garden, and the bees love it!

I used to do natural dyes with indigo- a pricey dye source! I wonder if this was more affordable? It's certainly got a beautiful color.
