Dinghy Image 2

I took two images, and can't decide which I prefer. I was hoping to get your thoughts... Which is better (or less bad, at least): this one (Dinghy Image 2) or the other (Dinghy Image 1)?

This is an image from our recent trip to Cape Cod. A swamped and broken dinghy by the Chatham Pier.

I prefer this one - as much as I like rocks in general I found them a little distracting to the image in the other version

I think that is quite a difficult question - I prefer the processing in this one, and the touch of colour seems important. I am wondering though, if I wouldn't prefer a compromise - with a crop just below the first rock on the other image, and showing just a couple more of those footsteps approaching the boat. But having said that, this looks great as it is anyway.
