Eagle Watching

Fun day eagle watching along the Mississippi and Illinois rivers, north of St. Louis. This is just a little south of Grafton, IL. This fellow had been hanging out on the ice flowing downstram, I managed to catch him taking off.

We did that once, off season, didn't see any eagles, except the one that nested near the lock and dam in Alton. Awesome shot.
