This is a photo of the honeybees that appeared last August. There were between 500-750 bees. We found out later that a truck hauling bee hives had turned over on the expressway. I'm hoping that when it turned cold that most of them left the area. While they are very placid it's very hard to work when they are crawling on my arms and hands. The baby hummer (you can see his red throat starting to show) was okay with the bees as long as they were sitting on the feeder, as soon as they started flying he would get scared and fly away. Not the greatest photo but I have been told that any photo where the hummer is still in the frame is a good hummer photo. :)
