Church Arches by lynne5477

Church Arches

I just love these arches at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Fort Worth. I've taken several shots of the church but not this POV of the arches. To the left is the street side and the right is a courtyard that leads to another part of the church. This is an architectural mainstay in Fort Worth; a gothic revival church built in 1930. Beautiful stone and wood work.
@fishy Andrew, another shot around Fort Worth for your challenge to show something that defines my town. Here are a few shots from last year of other parts of this church if you have the time to view them. http://365project.org/lynne5477/365/2012-04-13 http://365project.org/lynne5477/365/2012-04-14 http://365project.org/lynne5477/365/2012-04-15

I agree the arches are amazing. I also like the brown door and the leading lines to the door. The old lights are a nice touch. Great capture.
