Took this shot 2 months back but I am now taking a RAW class which is teaching me how to get my WB correct. I've gotten so frustrated at trying to get my grandson's coloring correct that I have wanted to just give up. This is my first photo I edited in the class. Feel free to tell me what you honestly think.
I think he has a little red in his skin, but that seems to be natural (comparing with his date). To me, the color is leaning slightly (very slightly) towards warm.
@danette Thanks, Danette, I have this one and a couple others I'm working on and will print and see how they compare. My friend thought they were a little warm, too. His girlfriend's complexion is so different from his.
@photographycrazy I started in LR and finished up in PS. My main problem has always been getting the coloring (or WB) correct with him. It will be interesting to see how my prints compare to my monitor.
@lynne5477 I would go to PS and create a mask using color range or quick selection tool of his face and then select a hue/saturation adjustment selecting red and decrease the saturation just a bit. This way you can leave the WB best for the pic.
