Not overly crazy about this shot but it's about the best I got. A friend and I went to downtown Fort Worth to take shots of the fireworks. Traffic was beyond horrendous. All started off okay but after 5-6 minutes of fireworks (which was touted as the best 28 minutes of fireworks in Fort Worth), the fireworks stopped. We waited and waited and learned later that they stopped the fireworks because of grass fires. Bummer for us. But, even worse, police blocked off the streets we needed to cross to get on the freeway toward home and it then took us 1 1/2 hours to get home (should have taken 20 min). Oh, well, we will try again next year.
I think your shot is beautiful. It's unfortunate about the fires and your traffic issues. I won't go to any fireworks display where we have to fight traffic. Our worst was at the Seminole Casino where it took 30 minutes to get out of the parking garage for some reason.
Sorry about the traffic hassles. That's one reason we don't go to them anymore in our local area. You did get a wonderful shot though with the reflections in the water.
