A glimpse up the lake towards some of the highest mountains in the region. 2200 to 2800 metres. The road had been cleared of snow and the sun was shining further up the valley. A 'situation' occurred here which is explained in the following photograph...
Stunning Maggiemae - I have been to NZ about 6 times but never got down to the South Island as my Better half is from there and has loads of family - so we never have time to do anything but catch up with them. Your photos make me want to visit (and maybe not tell his family)!
How could anyone behave like that in a place like this...he should be drunk on the vista! Just a typical iconic NZ scene !! A fave to remind me though not as dramatic in North Island I still love it!!!
