I'll give you a daisy a day, dear

Moving on….. All is good on the publishing Title side! I do appreciate all the honest opinions and feel much happier!
This is some darling tiny daisies having the cheek to grow in our lawn after my going round with the spray last year! They do signify Spring. I plucked them from the ground and put them in a thimble.

Chose to use an old memory from when I was a dietetic student working in a hospital in the ’60’s! They added eggs to the mashed potato. I did tonight and although it wasn’t sloppy the way I like mashed potato, it had great flavour and texture!

Three good things:
1. Remembered how to start the car, took bottles and newspapers down to the Recycle Park and the lady said, “I love your car”! I replied, “so do I”
2. John didn’t cough all night! Very good progress.
3. Finished my library book - using ‘Speed Reading” It was due today! I can do this!
Beautiful!

Ive done speed reading too.....it's surprisingly effective when time is short! Beautiful larger size daisies than they look.....the bokeh & focus is pretty....I love those pink tinged petals!
Not too keen on mashed potato myself in fact I could live without a potato full stop......but definitely not sloppy! Glad the cough is going!

@happypat the daisies as you know are so tiny, you don't see those pink tinges until you photograph them close up! I can't live without potatoes - don't tell me you don't like chips?
September 21st, 2015
@maggiemae Yes I do like chips set of all & I quite like new potatoes but I could easily live without any potato in my life. I never have much potato on my plate.

I'm a slow reader...so I wonder what you meant by speed reading. is it just glancing over the page and reading the odd word or sentence. what title did you use now for the book?
Beautiful daisies. love the dark bokeh background and the pink edges of the pedals. I posted one today too...a mini one. had to go down on my knee to take the picture. I enlarged it though. now it almost looks like a normal size daisy.

@bruni Speed reading is really rushing over the words and obtaining sense from within your brain - hard to describe! I changed the title to "A Mother's Memoirs"

I love the colors and dof!!
September 22nd, 2015

September 22nd, 2015
Such a happy photo. Love the color against the dark background. Eggs and mashed potatoes - never heard of it!

Lovely that you are heading into spring, while we start heading into fall. I love seeing your flowers just beginning to appear and the daisies are perfect for signaling the start of the new season.

Love the daisies!
September 22nd, 2015
Lovely. I like the pretty pink edges. I would have thought they were much bigger if you hadn't mentioned them being tiny and putting them in a thimble.
September 22nd, 2015
@fntngrma Thanks Rosan - done the usual thing - photographed tiny and it didn't show! I should do it from afar - next time!

@congaree Did you recognise the title words, John - an old song?
September 22nd, 2015
Love these and so glad you've sorted the title without a family revolution!!
September 22nd, 2015
We leave a patch of theseto grow until the white shrubs on either side fade. Its a shame they are so invasive

The daisies are so pretty. I'm pleased to hear that you have sorted out the issue with the title of your book. All's well that ends well!

Gorgeous shot Maggie, love the colours and focus.
September 22nd, 2015
Somehow I have missed all of the news about your book! I think the new title is fantastic. Families can be very trying, and you have been very diplomatic. Don't let your sisters take the gloss off the project for you, I am sure your mother would be very proud of you. Well done.
