to our driveway.
John was taking Captain Pugwash (our Motorhome) for a last ride before he was put away in his far little corner of our world. The cover will then be put on for the winter until we have the desire to set out once more!
This sack upright on the grass belongs to our neighbour who sells 1 doz eggs every now and then for $4! There is a notice under the sack.
Three good things;
1. John is such a good driver, there were no plants or bushes damaged in this exercise!
2. Roasted some more chestnuts and broke some more fingernails but had a nice snack.
3. My special soap for hard stains has lasted for years! Only need a swipe!
Your Motorhome sure looks very comfortable, there do not seem to be too many bushes he can run scrape by ;-) Always great to have a safe and careful driver.
Nice capture of Captain Pugwash. Our poor van never gets covered, as it is used about 2-3 weekends out of 4 all year round. I guess the weather's a bit milder up this way.
wonderful to see Captian Pugwash secretly holding onto all your adventures. I am going to assume that the eggs are free range? Great to have such a neighbour.
@dide
We’ve recently returned from a week at Chateaulain, Finistère (end of the earth) ie. the Département/County/State the furthest West in France. We love it! Far enough away to not return home wantonly, a splendid camp site which gives on to the Nantes/Brest canal, super meals on campsite with resident chef, always people to talk to...French or English...always makes it interesting and an unspoiled town on this fascinating canal.
Aw good old Captain Pugwash your trusty home from home! What great times you have in him....I thought types of transport were always female or is that just ships? Great value for money, handier than the caravan & more convenient. I recognise your road of course! You will be planning where to go next during the winter months!
Great looking rig. We are going to buy a motorhome of some sort next time we are home. I'm sure it will cost us much less than all the rental cars, hotels and plane tickets that we spent money on last trip.
@grannysue Unfortunately - the Captain is the reason we are in dire straits. John tried to put the cover on and the cycle support collapsed and he fell against the ladder ripping open a heap of flesh from his lower leg! Our trip will be canceled and John's recovery will be long!

Sorry to hear that John is temporarily 'out of service'. Am certain your TLC will help him rally and regain form ASAP.
