A new experience - taking a REAL milk bottle out of the fridge and using it. Milk straight from the source. I can’t say that I notice the difference in flavour but its the fact that is importance - no middleman and the glass is re used! They are responsible for the hygiene and it must be important or they would lose licence if there is one.
Anyway this is how it looks.

Do you have a milkman deliver these like we do in the UK or did you buy at a shop... I think it’s mostly plastic in shops these days. Three very good things!
@happypat The Dairy is just down the road from us, Pat but they will deliver for an extra $1. My family will be very proud of me - being of the views of no plastic if possible!
Well done on no plastic milk bottles and a great photo to boot! We get our milk delivered in glass bottles twice a week! The milkman has a very wide area to cover as not many houses have milk delivered.
Good effort, Maggie. All the big stores are plastic, but recycleable. I know our local milkman, he's offered five / six day delivery for at least 20+ plus years. I don't use him purely and simply because my milk use can vary from just a few coffees a week to several pints a day. But he does supply small local shop across the road, and I always buy the glassed milk from there, it tastes better.
I also think his sales are beginning to increase after years of decline.
I would love to get milk in glass bottles, but we use a lot at my house. Not me, I have to use lactose free. There is a dairy where you can buy raw milk about a 30 to 45 minute drive from me.
Great statement image...being dairy farmers daughter.with you on the glass and no plastic..mind we used have in a jug straight from Dad's milk shed..oh I miss the glass bottles. Goon on you.
I also think his sales are beginning to increase after years of decline.
