Almost fireworks by maggiemae

Almost fireworks

Only a few days till Guy Fawkes but I don't know that it is even going to be on! However, this is xmas silver sparkling stuff with the late sun setting shining direct light on to this! The vertical lines are from the design of the door to our bedroom.
Thankful for:
Lots of family around the world visiting online... Coronavirus doesn't know how to affect internet... yet! Hey, Its not evil - just a virus!
Not happening here, that's for sure! Our national lockdown begins on Guy Fawkes. I like the idea of your shot

Well spotted. Seems the sun was shining solely for that tiny bulb.

We don't celebrate Guy Fawkes night here at all. We have enough trouble with bushfires.

Never heard of Guy Fawkes Day. What is its meaning currently?

Glad you have the opportunity to visit with so much of your family through the Internet! Your photo definitely looks like fireworks! Way to capitalize on the subject.

Same as Babs, it is forbidden here. Lovely shot of the sparkles.

I haven’t seen one firework for sale...good job in my opinion! I must say though we used to love bonfire night in my youth...proper bonfires, gingerbread, treacle toffee etc...dark nights & all good fun.
Nit this year though! Not good times for firework manufacturers!
Will have to make do with your sparkler!

@k9photo "This tradition is more than 400 years old and comes from a plot by Guy Fawkes and 11 other men to blow up the British Parliament – the “Gunpowder Plot”. The men including Guy were caught before they could light the barrels of gunpowder."

@happypat In Oamaru we generally have a huge public event with lots of entertainment and food as well as the fireworks. But I haven't seen it advertised this year!

Good catch!

@maggiemae Does that mean it’s a celebration of the stopping of a terroristic plot?

@k9photo True words, Kate!
