Petra Siq by mamabec

Petra Siq

Note people standing off-center in photo. My Fitbit FORCE said we climbed 228 flights of stairs and walked four miles on this day.
The Siq is a mile-long narrow gorge that leads into the city of Petra, emerging dramatically in front of the Treasury along the way. To reach the start of the Siq, visitors must first walk about a half a mile along the wide valley known as the Siq.
Formed by tectonic movement then smoothed by flooding, this place is a photographer's dream!
Oh very nice.

@cortens Julie, you would not regret it. Israel was not on my Bucket List, but it must have been on God's Bucket List for me. I am so grateful to have gone. Our Israeli guide was so knowledgeable and it was so awesome to go to the Holy Land and get the Jewish perspective.

Looks like some of the slot canyons in Utah.

@webfoot That's exactly what I try to convey for reference when people ask.

I'm actually glad you got a person in the picture because it gives it great perspective. You're able to fully realize how large and amazing these are! Great shot :)
