It's the day after the big storm and it was still pouring rain today. We have probably had close to 5 inches of rain in the last 48 hours. I took this photo today around 2PM and have edited the heck out of it so you could even see what it is (the true color was gray with streaks of rain). The rain was coming down so hard I could barely see Heceta Lighthouse. The ocean was raging. The Oregon Coast winter storms are something else. Very important to have a hairstyle that looks good wet because you couldn't hold on to an umbrella if you tried. Feel like these last few shots of my project should be iconic of the Oregon Coast

Funny thing is, it's not "black and white" - it was a gray day, pouring rain, the ocean reflecting the gray sky, black rocks, white lighthouse, white waves. Used four edits on Picasa. Tuning: fill light, highlight, shadows. Effects: tint - then my watermark. I've promised myself I would advance to PhotoShop this next Project. I've had Elements 9 so long there is now an Elements 10!
Thank you - we really do live at opposite ends of the country from each other, don't we?
Thank you all for your comments.
