@bkbinthecity @wiesnerbeth thank you. There was a group of plaid blocks in the things I brought home from that estate sale last year. I added some other fabrics and turned them into half-square triangles, just for the fun of it. No-think therapy sewing at its best. They always need quilts for older boys in foster care, and this seemed like it could fill the bill.

Like the colors for an older boy. It intrigues me how quilters create something useful and beautiful at the same time out of something that might have been discarded.
