Black house

A month ago, this house looked like a forlorn shack. It's much better now, but wouldn't a black house be hot? On the left is the bamboo forest.

Hmmm. I never thought about that. I’ve always wanted a dark charcoal gray house with a yellow-orange door or a lime green door, which Lily tells me is “too modern.” I never thought the paint color would affect the temperature of the house. Another of my life choices called into question.

@wiesnerbeth @eudora I actually like the color combination. But I've been thinking about roof colors and how much they affect energy usage in a hot climate. Just wondering how hot a black wall subjected to full sun at midday would get. To be honest, it might not matter depending on the orientation of the house. And could come in handy in a cold climate.
