Darracq is a French brand and was the largest car manufacturer in the world at the beginning of the 19th century. Alexandre Darracq had nothing to do with cars and was in it purely for the money. He could not drive himself and would not allow himself to be driven around. In 1912 he closed his business and bought a casino.
