Tee hee! Chores! I hate washing dishes as much as I hate ironing! I don't mind drying them. Thankfully Donna prefers to do the washing so between us, there's no problem!
@steampowered When I was a kid, my grandmother would sometimes come to visit us from Salina (about an hour and 1/2 away). We loved to help her with the dishes. She would wash, either me or my sister would dry, and the other would put away and also act as "quality control." If something wasn't dry enough or clean enough we'd send it "back to the factory." It was such a thrill to send something back to Grandma for better washing. I think she probably occasionally left something imperfectly washed on purpose to please us. Doing the dishes isn't nearly so fun now. :-(
@kittikat Thanks! @christinehosey My husband prefers the dishwasher. I might use it more if it wasn't such an old piece of !@#. It is going away very soon. The remodel of the kitchen will definitely have a properly working dishwasher.
@phordy Well...though often times they stack up like that around here, I DID add some basically clean things to the dinner dishes that genuinely needed washing in order to artfully "stage" it for better effect. At first I cleared away some things in the background; then I showed it to Frank and he said it didn't look cluttered enough! After I took my photos, I put away the things that were still clean, however I did other things the rest of the evening and left them 'til morning to wash, of course. :-)
