Friday, with no internet access at home, I stayed at my desk after we closed, dealing with many and various things. (I'll spare you, it was one heck of a day.) Outside I heard periodic shouting and cheering. When I shut down the computer and went out to go home, I saw that the sororities were concluding Rush Week with this mass event. I've never seen it before or even know that this went on. They were all massed in a large grassy area in the center of campus. In turn, each sorority group was welcoming their new incoming members. The new women were stationed across the street, back aside the administration building. And at the same time the new and old members ran toward each other hugging cheering etc, when they met in the middle. I took lots of pictures, any number of which are not in very good focus because of the action. I hope this conveys the excitement of the moment.
