I hope the dinosaurs appreciate the work I put into their valentine for Frank. They were so excited when they found out the 365 Toys theme this week was hearts and begged me to let them do the Valentines Day "Flash of Red" on my Black and White February calendar. I agreed because I thought I remembered how I could easily do the selective color, having just recently discovered it. But I couldn't remember where and how. It may be in PS Elements which is installed on the Mac. I'm on the laptop this evening. So I did it a longer way on Ribbet.com. Please don't look too close as the best I could do is still somewhat crude.
Here's what the dinosaurs wanted to say, but couldn't fit on the valentine itself:
"To the person we love most in the world -- the person who loved us first a long time ago. We love you, Frank, and we always will."
They asked me if I thought it sounded too sappy, and I assured them it did not -- because, BTW, Frank is also the person I love most in the world, and always will. And though he loved the dinosaurs first and longer ago, he still has loved me for a long, long time, for which I will forever be grateful.
@gratefulness@lynnz@francoise@grammyn@olivetreeann Thanks so much for the comments. Despite my grumbling, I have fun with the dinosaurs -- one by one or en masse. Francoise, I had to let them all be in this shot -- as you said, so solid in their devotion to the boy who bought them all those many years ago.
