Thursday night, Frank and I went to a performance of the last production in the Purple Masque Theatre at K-State. Or, rather, the last production in the old Purple Masque. They are building a new one in the West Stadium. The old one in the East Stadium is being demolished so the East Stadium can be completely renovated for a KSU Welcome Center. The old Memorial Stadium -- football stadium used before the new one was build in 1968 has stands on both sides of the field and underneath the East Stadium stands, in addition to other campus offices is the Purple Masque, where Frank and I met doing summer theatre in the summer of 1971. I snapped this picture looking through the door that leads back to the dressing rooms.
