One of the Deep Creek ladies, Barbara Craft, told me today at our lunch meeting that she had hosted a hay bale painting party a while back. I had seen the jack o lantern one she had out at the road. I didn't realize there were others further in until today. So Gladys (club member who came with me) and I took a detour after the meeting over to Barbara's house. Besides this caterpillar, there were a couple of mice, two jack-o-lanterns, a turkey, and a Jayhawk (mascot of rival Kansas University) all baled up with just pieces of him sticking out. Barbara is a dedicated K-State Wildcat fan.
