Wendy @farmreporter gave me the challenge to take a picture of the moon as close to the full moon as possible. Since I am still unable to use my camera (I need to buy a new battery charger) and am using my iPod exclusively, my expectations of getting nothing worth posting were confirmed when I went out shortly after midnight and took a few pictures that pretty much all were like what you see on the left -- some less "zoomed" (= cropped) than others. Strangely, the evening following I found myself sorting old pictures and came across the enigmatic polaroid you see on the right. I have no idea what was being shot, or if I took it or my son took it, or...? It was undoubtedly a mistake, but it appealed to me somehow and was begging to be paired with my moon shot.
Later that evening just before going to bed, I went out again and this time found the moon in a better position in the sky and got something more aesthetically satisfying. See next date.
