And the light on my neighbors’ porch across the street, seen through snow-laden branches. It didn’t last long. By the time I went out at 9:30 it was dropping off the trees in great wet gobs. By the time I came home an hour later it was melted away on the sunny side of the street, and by the end of the day it was gone from our side as well.
