For my get pushed challenge from Jacqueline @jacqbb to make a collage of some favorite things in my kitchen. The big platter has come down to me through my maternal grandfather’s family. It’s old, but not quite as old as family lore makes it out to be — a couple of generations older that it could really be.
The green glass jars were the thing I most wanted way back when my grandmother moved out of her apartment. There were five, but one broke. You see here three of the four sitting there.
Frank uses the egg beater more than I do, but I love having it.
And the chocolate — expensive chocolates Frank gave me for Valentines Day. Yes, chocolate of any kind is high on my list of favorite things in my kitchen. I’m making this good stuff last.
that blue and white is quite the beauty. you can't find anything like that anymore. well, you can but if you look at the back it's made in china. yours is possibly european made, germany or quite possibly delft, if it's two generations older. and love those green jars, they do have character.
