Posted to January 7th, because that’s the date I still have empty. And also because that’s the day Frank had the surgery on his eyelids. That day and for the next 1-3 days he was supposed to put ice on it for about 20 minutes out of every (waking) hour. Well, it didn’t get done perfectly on schedule, but didn’t do too badly. They sent him home with a kind of eye mask thing that you put fresh ice in through an opening at the top. We went through a lot of crushed ice. But that ice pack mask started to come apart so toward the end I put the ice in a gallon freezer bag and then folded it back a couple of times and wrapped it in a dish towel. And used a stretchy strap with Velcro to hold it on. This time, instead of folding the towel over again so only his eyes were covered, he just let it hang down in front of his face and I snapped a picture.
