Purple Loosestrife

The loosestrife has a very pretty flower and I love the color but it’s an invasive here. It’s forcing out the native cattails and totally taking over so many of our marshes and wetlands in New England.

yes, very pretty. we don't see or hear about it's invasive aspects as much as we did 20 years ago.
