Lavandula stoechas (French lavender, Spanish lavender, or topped lavender)
Lavender evokes memories,... of grand-moms soap, of lavender fields in the Provence (ok, for me Tasmania), of lavender water in steam-irons, of small lavender pillows between the laundry, of talcum powder, used by the aunt , and even of lavender Eau de Toilette a special person used, or of lavender honey, with its intense fragrance. Alternatively, of panna cotta with lavender eaten in Italy, of potpourris with lavender used as insect protection or of a moment when a soothing lavender tea was needed.
And I'm sure that each of you would have a memory in mind, when the smell of lavender is in the air.
I love squeezing a lavender between my fingers and smelling that scent for the rest of the day! What you have said is part of my history too - remembering the potpourris everywhere in cold bedrooms, bathrooms and on pillows! Lovely composition! fav
