2015-09-03 the (little) apple man

I dedicate this to our friend Joe, from the South Tyrol (Italy), who follows my 365 project silently. Joe is currently on his farm in the midst of apple picking and is plucking thousands and thousands of apples. He plucks them from the trees, which he cultivated for many years, and cares for day in and day out. These apples we buy later on the market or in the shop and we give hardly a thought how much work (and much more) is behind this every day fruit. So Joe, this pic from a Swiss apple slice is a symbolic “thank you”. Next time you visit us, you get a “tarte tatin” or similar. ;-)

Mona
Interesting to see the actual design of the apple! It must be cut right through the middle!

You captured lots of detail in this apple slice Mona and I think b&w was a good choice. I like the empty space where the tiny seeds where once. Thanks to all the "Joes" who provide us food everyday!
