You know you’re committed to your photography thingy when you find yourself lying flat on your belly in front of a puddle, for the best possible reflection of some promenader’s. Knowing people think you are crazy, but not to care about it.
Cutest thing was that a toddler (probably the only one not thinking the crazy thing), stood beside me, looking very hard into the puddle, expecting something interesting to see. I had to disappoint him, that there is no frog, worm, snail, Nessie…but I showed him the reflection and he saw it too then and showed it his mum.
For what you photographed so beautifully...and for what you wrote...I hope to see this on an upcoming Top Twenty! It's quite wonderful...and so are you!
This is stunning, and I love the story - I can totally picture you and your converstaion with the toddler. I can't even do street photos when no one is around yet. YOu are an inspiration! fav
I love the picture - and I LOVE you commentary! - especially the part about the toddler. Can picture the whole thing. Your position was worth every odd look you might have gotten. They just don't understand! Fav
WOW, this brings a smile to my face Mona, I can just picture the toddler searching the water for a frog or two. Love it!!
Awesome reflections, comp and processing. I hope to see this on the TT thus week!
Mesmerizing! The silhouettes and reflections. Love your description. One benefit of taking photographs is it gives you an excuse to occasionally behave like a kid ;)
Wow I'm not surprised this made it to the TT this week, well deserved Mona, your so creativity. I will be keeping an eye out for more reflections as a result of your photos!
@Weezilou Hi Louise, you have to be a clairvoyant. I did not expect to get this into the top twenty, but you saw it coming and have proofed right. Thanks, I feel very honored.
Awesome reflections, comp and processing. I hope to see this on the TT thus week!
