We had the social event, of the conference I attended in a former Carthusian monastery.
The monastery of La Lance was founded in 1317 under the leadership of Pierre de Grandson, Lord of Belmont. A small community of monks settled there and occupied the area until 1539. With the passage of the reformation, the buildings and the land was secularized and sold to individuals.
The cloister of the fourteenth century is still intact and it is an exceptional historical monument. It is located at the lake between Yverdon and Neuchâtel. Unfortunately it is private property and belongs to a winery now.
Unfortunately I had no time to take more than a couple of pictures. This one is taken from the small cross-coat.
Handheld.
Well done for hand held!
