Thick fog rises from the ground, weaving through the trees like a ghostly veil.
The aftermath of Storm Boris that sweept through Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. The worst floods to hit central Europe in decades, dumping well over a month’s worth of rain.
I have roots in Austria and was east of Salzburg for a funeral the last tree days. This was a region, that was this time not hit that hard, as the catchement of the creeks and rivers lies in the montains, and most of the rain fell as snow, and was bound for the moment. Lets hope it stays cold for a while, to help all the regions downstream to recover. What a sad and devasting situation for all affected. I wish a swift recovery and hope that all find strength and support during this challenging time.
Beautiful capture. This flood is a great tragedy and I feel very sorry for the people who are suffering and have lost all their property. But at the same time there is a terrible anger in me. Anger at the pride of man who does not respect nature.
