Congratulations on your new arrival. It would be quite understandable to post nothing but kitty pictures for the foreseeable future. Quite a stunning photo you've taken to announce its arrival. I am just curious, if you don't mind sharing, whether you achieved that effect while photographing or later during processing? Thank you.
@mbrutus Hello Mr. M. Brutus, thank you for your interest. I do this kind of reflection shots now and then and some even refer to it, as “my style”. It was the first time I did it with a fast moving subject. (The snail a couple of weeks ago does not count). There is photoshop involved, but never for the reflection. It is definitely done while photographing as I did shoot on a glass (from a picture frame) I placed on dense black textile material. If you would do it in photoshop, you have an exact copy of the main picture, if you shoot a natural reflection, depending on the angle and physics it is not exactly identical. In this case you can see clearly the belly of the kitty, and also you see that the little one, had one foot behind the glass, so it is not reflected properly. I had to do a couple of shoots to get a more or less good one, and did not want to try again to not bother the kitty on its first day.
Some time ago I made a behind-the-scene-shot, how I set up this kind of shots. This one was quite similar, only that I used an external flash. If you are interested. http://365project.org/mona65/2015-plan-b-alb/2016-08-30
@novab Thank you Nova. She is super adorable. We are not 100% sure about the name yet. ;-) We call her most of the time *Büseli* at the moment, what means little kitty, but this will not be her name in future. Let you know as soon as we know.
@mona65 Thank you. That is very kind of you to go into such a detailed explanation and to provide the accompanying link. It is much appreciated. I will be sure to check it out.

And thank you for the explanation to mr. Brutus. I was wondering as well.
Wow, thanks you all so much for the amazing response to this shot, for the welcome to our new kitty "Kia Kisù" and for all the favs. Lovely to see her on tt.
