Long Sunday hike along a lake and through lots of ramsons, buckrams, wild garlic, broad-leaved garlic, wood garlic, bear leek, or bear's garlic, what ever you name it. We say litterally translated bear leek (Allium ursinum). Great herb and spice, it you can distinguish it to poisonous plants such as lily of the valley.
Interesting for me: At the moment we have lots of Sahara dust in the air, the light is warmish and they say we will have rare blood rain tonight. The term is used to describe rain carrying sand from the Sahara. When the rain falls it has a reddish colour, though likely far from blood red in hue. When it dries it leaves a thin layer of dust on houses, cars and outdoor furniture.
The very first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this photo was that it looked like a scene from "Lord of the Rings" I could almost expect to see Galadriel ( Cate Blanchett ) coming down the pathway.
