Enjoying the lantern trail near our home, with my favorite sister-in-law and family. Snowy track, 3 km and 305 lanterns and quotes. Far back the lights of the village. Great way to start in the New Year.

@gardencat Hi Joanne, it is a gift from our parish to the citizens. Volunteers light the candles every night around Christmas and New Years Eve. It is a highlight every year and it is one of the most beautiful lantern paths I know. They become quite common here, what is nice. The quotes & sayings are chosen by the "lantern trail commitee". But you can send them your favorite quotes.
