Ninot indultat

This figure (or rather figures) has won the "best figure" award. This is an special award because it's not awarded by a jury, but by popular vote. The price is quite special: it will not burn, it will be taken to the Fallas museum.
As a fun note, the dog is the reproduction of Amunt, a little yorkshire terrier who belongs to one of the members of the falla.
It's very well done, and well done to the artists

@lmsa The traditional ones, just as this one, are made of cardboard paste. First they sculpt it in mud, then they make a plaster cast of it, and they use this cast to make the final version of cardboard paste, which is then painted.
For the very big center pieces they make a huge wood structure and cover it. In the past, they were covered in polystyrene, because it weighs less than cardboard and allows for bigger, riskier fallas. But many people are against it because it pollutes so much, so more and more artists are using green cork (the same which is used in wine bottle caps).
@ollyfran Thanks a lot for your comment!
