I love the sound the stylus makes when it touches the edge of the record; just as you place it on... it's something that iPods and MP3's just don't/can't do... but turntables can.

You're so right about "that sound"! I have my own vintage collection, and I'll never hear those songs again...sad... And I also invested in 8-track tapes in their heyday...that was a useless expendature! So glad you're enjoying your collection still!
